Great news for Boston Fenway residents!

Monday April 7th, 3:02pm

The MBTA is stacking its lineup Tuesday afternoon to help Boston baseball fans root for the home team at opening day at Fenway Park.

According to a release from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority:

There will be extra service on the Green Line before and after the game.

To expedite the fare-purchasing process for customers, the T has more than doubled the number of CharlieCard Machines at Riverside Station.

Free bus shuttle service between Ruggles Station and Fenway Park (begins 90 minutes before first pitch, and will continue for 30 minutes after the last out).

Additional MBTA Customer Service Agents will be available to assist transit-users.

There are five (5) CharlieCard Machines inside Fenway Park

Sox fans are strongly encouraged to purchase round-trip fares on their way into the game ... to avoid long lines when heading back home.
